MODEL: SUPER73-MZFT
The following instructions will guide you through the process of replacing the display on your SUPER73-MZFT. Please perform the steps in the order detailed below to ensure the display is properly replaced. If the following process is not within your skill set, we recommend taking the bike to a certified E-bike specialist or professional cycle mechanic for proper installation.
Tools Needed:
- 4mm Hex Wrench
- 2.5mm Hex Wrench
Original Display Removal Process
- Ensure that the bike is turned OFF before performing any work.
- Locate the display module. It is mounted on the left side of the handlebar next to the front brake lever assembly.
- Disconnect the wiring connection from the display. The display cable should be carefully pulled out of the protective covering just enough to reach the respective connector. This can be accomplished by gently opening the velcro covering around the wires exposing the display connector.
- Loosen the front brake lever assembly using the 4mm hex key and rotate the lever downward to give access to the mounting screw for the display.
- Remove the display mounting screw using the 2.5mm hex key.
- Gently slide the display up and off the handlebar, being careful not to lose the mounting screw.
- Once removed, set the display aside. Do not dispose of the original display at this point.
New Display Installation Process
TIP: Please make sure to save any packaging materials that came with your new display. They may be needed at the end of the replacement process.
- Carefully mount the new display onto the left side of the handlebar using the mounting screw and 2.5mm hex key.
- Connect the wiring connection from the new display to the exposed wiring connection from the bike.
- With the display mounted, carefully check the wire connection to ensure proper connection and re-cover using the velcro cable housing protector.
- Realign the front brake lever assembly and tighten the brake lever mount to the handlebar using the 4mm hex key.
- With the new display installed, turn the bike on and test for proper operation. If the issue is not resolved, please reach out to SUPER73 support for further guidance on resolution.
Original Display Return Process
Please complete the following steps if a return label was included with shipment of your replacement display. If you were not advised to return the display to SUPER73 and did not receive a return label, you may dispose of the display at this time.
- After confirming the proper operation of the bike please take a photo of the original display with the serial number in clear view.
- If a support agent has been working with you on this replacement process, please send the picture of the display label as a response in the support ticket you are working with the agent on.
- Package up the old display in the packaging that was used to ship the replacement to you.
- Place the included return label on the package and take it to your local carrier for drop off so SUPER73 can get it back for testing.
